Participants are responsible for arranging their own travel to and from Croatia. However, the Local Organizing Committee will try to assist everyone in order to facilitate their transfer from and to the airports.
For participants arriving via Ljubljana (Brnik) Airport by Adria Airways, or via Zagreb (Pleso) Airport by Croatia Airlines, a shuttle service from the airport to the Ambasador Hotel in Opatija will be organized. The shuttle will leave the airport after customs clearance. Booking for the shuttle service must be made at the travel agency issuing air tickets at least 24 hours before departure. The transfer lasts about two hours and is charged about USD 20.
Discount rates are agreed with official carriers (Adria Airways - 20%, and Croatia Airlines - 25%). Participants are kindly requested to quote IMLA conference 1999 when booking air tickets.
Discount air fares, as well as transfer bookings, can be arranged only in the sales offices of the two official carriers. CROATIA AIRLINES has sales offices in Amsterdam, Frankfurt, London, Paris, Rome, Vienna and Zurich. ADRIA AIRWAYS has offices in Amsterdam, Barcelona, Brussels, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, Istanbul, London, Moscow, Munich, Paris, Tel Aviv, Vienna and Zurich. Please, check their web sites to find the address and phone numbers of the office nearest to you. By visiting their web pages you can also get information concerning the time-table of the flights to and from Zagreb and Ljubljana.
Participants arriving to the Conference by official air carriers or by any other air companies are kindly requested to inform the Organizing Committee of the air company they are flying by, departure and arrival airport, flight number and time of arrival, at least seven (7) days before their arrival. These data are needed in order to organize their transfer to Opatija.
A shuttle service from Opatija to the connecting airport on departure (after Conference closing) will be arranged during the Conference.
