NAUTICAL STUDIES AND MARITIME TRANSPORT TECHNOLOGY
Welcome to the University Undergraduate Degree Program in Nautical Studies and Maritime Transport Technology
The Nautical Studies and Maritime Transport Technology program is fully aligned with the needs of the international labor market and the ongoing demands of shipping companies for professionals trained to operate a modern ship as a complex technical and technological system, with knowledge of maritime business from the perspective of shipowners as well as other participants in the maritime system.
The primary goal and purpose of the program are to provide regular education for the highest maritime officer positions (Chief Officer and Master on ships over 3,000 GT) for Croatian shipping companies and the global market, in accordance with international standards set by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) headquartered in London.
The program has broad applications in the maritime economy and scientific fields and also forms the foundation for work in entrepreneurship and relevant social and governmental institutions. The knowledge acquired enables students to pursue employment in institutions and companies connected with maritime activities, as well as in organizations responsible for managing and implementing transport processes, particularly in the maritime sector.
