The Faculty Council is the governing body of the Faculty which, together with the Dean, manages the Faculty.
The Faculty Council consists of all tenured full professors, full professors, associate professors, assistant professors, one representative of teachers elected to teaching positions of senior lecturer and lecturer, two representatives of associates elected to associate positions of senior assistant and assistant, and one representative of employees from the ranks of non-teaching staff employed at the Faculty with at least half-time employment, as well as student representatives.
The Faculty Council makes decisions on teaching, scientific, and professional matters; adopts the Statute and other general acts defined by the Statute; adopts the mission and development strategy of the Faculty; approves the draft of the program contract relating to the Faculty; adopts the Faculty’s financial plan; carries out the procedure for the election of the Dean and the appointment of Vice-Deans, as well as the procedure for dismissal of the Dean and Vice-Deans in the manner and according to the procedure established by this Statute; adopts additional criteria for election to scientific-teaching, teaching, associate, and professional positions at the Faculty; carries out re-elections and elections to scientific-teaching, teaching, associate, and professional positions at the Faculty; determines the number of student places in individual study programs; carries out re-elections and elections of honorary teachers; elects professors emeriti from among the Faculty staff; adopts the Dean’s annual report; and performs other tasks in accordance with the Statute and other general acts of the Faculty.
